Terms of Service

Effective September 24, 2026. Last updated September 24, 2026.

The short version

  • YourCardSentry tells you how much of a spending limit you have left and warns you before you run out. It is not a bank and cannot move your money.
  • The figures come from your bank through Plaid and are not real-time, so treat an alert as a warning, not a guarantee.
  • Text alerts are optional. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help.
  • Nothing on this site or in the app is financial, legal or tax advice.

These terms

These terms cover your use of the YourCardSentry website at yourcardsentry.com and the app at app.yourcardsentry.com. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

YourCardSentry is operated by F&E PROPERTY LLC. “We”, “us” and “our” in these terms mean F&E PROPERTY LLC.

How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

What YourCardSentry is, and is not

YourCardSentry is a spending-control tool. You connect the bank accounts and credit cards you want to watch, set one spending limit for a budget period, and the app shows how much of it is left and alerts you as you approach it.

We are not a bank, a lender or a financial adviser. We do not hold, move or spend money, we do not run credit checks, and nothing we show you is a recommendation to buy, borrow or invest. Decisions about your money are yours.

The figures are only as current as your bank’s data. Transactions reach us through Plaid, usually some time after you make them, and a pending charge can change amount or disappear before it posts. We work hard to count spending correctly, but we cannot promise that a figure is complete or up to the minute, and you should not rely on the app as your only record of what you owe.

Your account and your household

You need to give us accurate sign-up details and keep your sign-in credentials to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your login.

An account is a household. The person who signs up is its primary; they can invite others to join as a spouse or on the restricted child role. Everyone on the account shares one spending limit, and the adults on it can see how spending splits between cards and people. Invite only people you are happy to share that with.

Only the primary can remove members, hand the account over, or delete it.

Connecting your bank through Plaid

We connect to your financial institutions through Plaid. You sign in to your bank inside Plaid’s flow, and your banking credentials are never given to us. By connecting an account you also agree to Plaid’s end-user privacy policy. Our access is read-only. You can disconnect an institution at any time from Cards in the app.

Alerts

We send alerts by email, and by text message if you turn that on, when your household’s spending crosses a threshold you set, and — if you choose — a reminder while you are over budget. Alerts depend on your bank, on Plaid and on email and mobile networks, so one can arrive late or not at all. An alert is a helpful warning; it is not a guarantee that you will not overspend.

SMS text message program

Program name: YourCardSentry text alerts.

What we send. If you add and confirm a mobile number, YourCardSentry sends you automated text messages of three kinds only: a one-time code to confirm your number; an alert when your household’s spending crosses a threshold you set (80%, 90% and 100% of your limit by default); and, only if you turn it on, one reminder a day while you are over budget. We do not send marketing or promotional texts. The text alerts page shows an example of each.

How you opt in. You enter your mobile number in the app’s alert settings and ask for a code, beside a disclosure of what we send; entering the code confirms the number. Alert texts start only once you have confirmed the number and saved your alert settings with SMS switched on. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Message frequency varies with your spending and your settings: at most one text for each threshold you set in each budget period, at most one reminder a day while you are over budget if you turned reminders on, and a code whenever you ask for one.

Msg & data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s normal messaging rates apply to texts we send and texts you send us.

To stop, reply STOP to any message. You will receive one message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further texts. You can also untick SMS in your alert settings and save. To start again, reply START and then confirm your number again in the app.

For help, reply HELP to any message, or email support@yourcardsentry.com.

Text alerts are available on US mobile numbers only. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How we handle your mobile number is described in the Privacy Policy. We do not share mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Subscription and billing

A household needs a paid subscription to use the app, and the primary is the one who pays for it. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you pay, and payment is handled by Stripe. You can cancel from the app at any time; the subscription then keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not renewed.

Using the service fairly

Use YourCardSentry only for your own household’s accounts, and only accounts you are entitled to access. Do not try to reach another household’s data, interfere with the service, or use it to break the law.

We may suspend or close an account that does these things.

Ending your account

The primary can delete the household from Settings in the app. It is immediate, cannot be undone, and deletes every member’s data. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what happens and what survives it.

Changes to these terms

When the product changes in a way that affects these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top.
